San Francisco ditches fees for affordable housing and in-laws to speed up housing

There is a proposal for a pilot program that will allow qualified affordable housing and in-law construction projects to skip paying fees such as inspection fees, plan review fees, records retention fees, and site surcharge fees. Although the city will lose a lot of money by allowing this, they believe it is worth it in order to encourage more housing construction.
