So many people are paying such a large portion of their paycheck on their rent that they have very little money left for anything else like food or healthcare. BiSHoP will be hosting an Accessing Public Benefits Workshop that will explain what the common public benefits are, what do they do, who qualifies, and what is needed to apply. The Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) is going to be presenting this workshop.

BiSHoP has a weekly DAHLIA drop-in clinic at our computer lab. The purpose of the clinic is for our existing clients to have access to a computer to submit housing applications on their own. There will be a step-by-step tutorial at 10:30 for people who need extra help. If you are a new client, we ask that you first go to the drop-in clinic on Tuesday and talk to a housing case manager.

San Francisco has a mental health crisis. Patients aren’t getting the help they need, and health care workers are bearing the brunt of the City’s inaction. Something needs to be done!

Join BiSHoP, Supervisors Ronen, Haney, Walton, Mar, Safaí, and more in supporting Mental Health SF which will provide mental healthcare to anyone in crisis who needs it.

There will be a rally on Wednesday, October 30th at 12pm at the steps of City Hall. Come show your support!

Come to BiSHoP's workshop next Tuesday at our drop-in clinic to learn about the more than 100 apartment units available at 500 Folsom and Casa Adelante. We will inform you about both buildings' location, amenities, and policies. Casa Adelante is senior housing, and so the apartment units are only for households with at least one senior 62 years old or older.

You can ask our case managers to submit an application to this building in your behalf. If you live or work in San Francisco, bring document proof. Here is the document checklist.
